Meet Kelly Wood

Kelly Wood is known for her passion for connecting with others, her attention to detail, ability to quickly assess her clients’ needs, and a keen ability to find them a house that upon the first turn of the key becomes a home! Raised in Auburn, CA, Kelly has had a talent for organization, design, and architecture since childhood. From sketching models of tree houses and future dream homes, to reorganizing her childhood bedroom endlessly…understanding our personal connections to our homes is deeply rooted in her approach to real estate. After spending years in Boulder, CO, Park City, UT, and Los Angeles, the Sierra Nevadas called her home, and Kelly has lived in Truckee for the past ten years. Kelly bought her first home in the Glenshire neighborhood of Truckee in 2017, giving her the experience and understanding of being a first-time home buyer. Kelly owned and operated an in-home childcare/preschool in that home, until she found her way back to her first true passion – real estate development. Along with her husband, Kelly built two custom homes in the Elkhorn Ridge neighborhood of Truckee; her personal home completed in 2021, and a spec home completed in 2025. Kelly is incredibly knowledgeable about the construction process, and has many connections in the residential building community in this area. She is a valuable member of Team Tahoe Real Estate, where her passion for the human connection component of residential real estate is deeply appreciated. Being a straightforward, honest, organized, and supportive member of the Team allows her to make it fun and exciting to sell your home or buy that place you’ve always wanted, while making sure all aspects of the transaction are well taken care of. Kelly spends her free time enjoying the outdoors with her two rescue dogs, spending time with family and friends, and soaking in all things interior design, architecture and real estate!
